It matters! That’s my takeaway from this year’s 40th anniversary Share-A-thon. No, I don’t mean that Share-A- thons matter, (although they do); I mean Christian radio matters! This year we asked for your testimonies, and we received so many wonderful testimonies of God using WRGN in the lives of our listeners. It was it joy to be able to share those testimonies with you during Share-A-thon, and we will continue to do that throughout our 40th year.

Speaking of what matters, I recently returned from South Carolina where I attended the funeral of a radio friend, Rob Dempsey, who was my age and served at HIS Radio in Greenville in much the same capacity as I do. His passing was unexpected. I spoke to people in the community who expressed the impact of his presence and how much he will be missed. That station also provided opportunity for listeners to share recorded messages on the air about how Rob and the station mattered to them.
