Interactive musical program featuring musical storytelling by Leslie Burrs, an internationally renowned composer and flutist, using his many flutes including African wooden flutes. Also featuring Aryssa Leigh Burrs, a nationally recognized young female vocalist, as she sings and shares African Call and Response singing and the American Gospel style of music. The program will be accompanied by Carol Lee Evans, a Grammy Award Nominee for her teaching expertise and will share information on why we celebrate Juneteenth. The musical performance is free and open to the public. We will receive a free will offering and a reception will follow.
