Victims Resource Center officially opens new office and presents Allied Professional Awards
Victims Resource Center will hold an official ribbon cutting ceremony at its Luzerne County Office as well as the presentation of the Allied Professional Awards on Tuesday, September 14th beginning at 4:00pm. Victims Resource Center moved into the new facility in December 2019 but had to delay the opening due to COVID-19. The new office is the headquarters for the organization, in addition to the Prevention Education and Outreach Departments. Direct Victim Services are also provided in this location. This new facility includes a counseling room specifically designed to meet the needs of child victims which was funded by a grant from The Luzerne Foundation.
The 2020-2021 Allied Professional Awards will be presented to Angela Sperrazza, Deputy Attorney General, Child Predator Division and Paul Mendofik, retired Pennsylvania State Police Lieutenant, for their outstanding commitment to crime victims.
