From Us to You – April 2025

The end of the month of March was a time of testing and growth for all of us here at WRGN! It wasn’t Job-level testing, but it did remind me of the passage from Job 23:10, “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.”

Most of you know that members of our staff travel to our sister station, WIVH, every year to conduct Share-A-Thon. This year, Denise Warner, Dan Close and I had the joy of going and meeting so many of our wonderful listeners and supporters. As Dan was boarding the plane, he noticed an issue with WRGN’s automation system. He later said that if he realized the extent of the issue, he would have never boarded the plane!

What we didn’t know at the time is that our automation computer was in the process of a complete meltdown! Dan spent the entire first day of our WIVH Share-A-Thon on the phone with the staff back at the WRGN studios trying to get things back on track. Unfortunately, that wasn’t going to be possible. Instead, the remaining staff, Heather Madeira, Terry Perrine, and Querida Nelson, spent the next several days operating the station without the automation system. They did a fantastic job!

When we returned, Dan and I were able to get things back on track with our backup automation computer. Let me tell you, God has blessed us with gold-level staff here at WRGN.
