At the end of this month, many of us will sit down to a plate full of way too much food, and thank the Lord for his provision over the past year. We may think about others who are much less fortunate than we are, and we may even do something about it. Maybe you are serving in a soup kitchen, donating to a food pantry, or even inviting someone to join you for Thanksgiving dinner.

If your family Thanksgiving dinner is anything like ours, you are likely to have a large variety of foods to choose from as you fill your plate. In the same way, we also have a large selection of Christian ministries that we can support with our time and treasure. Matthew 6:21 tells us “…where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” We know that many of you have a heart for the ministry of WRGN. The wonderful thing about giving to the ministry here is that you are making it possible for others to hear the encouragement and Good News offered daily on WRGN.

As the year winds down, I would ask you to think about doing one thing to help the ministry of WRGN in the future. Would you consider making a legacy gift to WRGN? This year, several people told me they are going to include the ministry of WRGN in their will. This enables them to continue to put their treasure where their heart has been, even after they go home to be with the Lord. It’s not difficult to do and can be made as an addendum to an existing will, either as a percentage after your financial obligations have been met, or as a specific dollar amount.

God has always been faithful to provide through listeners over the past 38 years, and we look forward to serving Northeastern Pennsylvania for many years to come!
