From Us to You – October 2024

I recently had the joy of hearing my son-in-law preach the final message in a series from the book of Philippians. There is so much we need to hear from Philippians 4 in the days we are living. Messages about joy, peace, contentment, and not being anxious. In all of that, there was one thing that stood out to me the most, especially in light of our Share-A-Thon theme this year. Stand firm!

It is so easy to be pushed and pulled by the world, the times we live in, the pressures of society, culture, and most of all, our own desires. I think that’s one of the reasons Paul reminds the Philippians, who were also living in challenging times, about the things they should be focusing on: things that are honorable, just, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.

We realize that WRGN is one among many options you have to help you “think on these things,” and we are so glad you have chosen to not just listen, but also support this wonderful, local resource for our area. As we celebrate 40 years of ministering together for the cause of Christ here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, we are constantly reminded that we cannot do it alone!

Everyday we get to see the fruit of our labor and yours, as we hear from those who are blessed by WRGN’s broadcasting. Alongside this letter is a listener email we recently received that brought us to tears, and served as a reminder that what we do here matters!
