April 2025
The Good News Library’s Spring Reading Challenge kicked off on March 1. Kids can decorate the library with spring flowers and leaves for each book they read. The child who reads the most books by May 31 will win a great prize! It’s never too late to jump in!
This month, Karen Barnett brings us two exciting split-time novels. They are part of her National Parks series! Where the Trees Touch the Sky is set in Redwood National Park in the both the 1920s and 1970s. Two women dedicate themselves to saving this important part of God’s creation. It holds deep meaning for them and is crucial to their family legacy. When Stone Wings Fly takes place in the Great Smoky Mountains. It starts in the 1930s when the park’s development threatens a family’s homestead. Eighty-five years later, a great-granddaughter arrives and wants to uncover the answers to the mysteries raised by those events.
A new book for young readers, just in time for spring, is All Things Bright and Beautiful where birds glide, bugs hide, elephants prance, and all creation praises its Creator God.
Stop by The Good News Library this spring to check out these and all of our 15,000+ books, DVDs and audio books. We are open Monday through Friday, 9 am—4:30 pm, and annual memberships are just a $5 donation.
