July 2024

Long summer days mean extra time for reading!  Whether it’s by the pool, on the beach, near a campfire, or maybe you’re simply sitting in the car catching a few moments with a good book!  The Good News Library located at the WRGN studios has just the book you might be looking for!

We’re all familiar with the popular hymn, Amazing Grace.  A recent book of the same name by Bruce Hindmarsh and Craig Borlase chronicles the story of John Newton. In a biography that reads like a novel, the book reveals  Newton’s dramatic, and at times traumatic, story of sin and salvation and ultimate conviction to speak out against slavery. His story speaks to the brokenness within us all and our need for God’s amazing grace.

Too often, we feel disappointed with our “right now”–our life circumstances, our relationships, our progress, our daily grind. We want to do so many things but our situations don’t allow us. Bestselling author Ruth Chou Simons guides readers who are restless in their current circumstances on a journey of growth, purpose, and pressing in. She reminds us that it’s okay to not like the right now we’ve been given, but we don’t have to like it to lean in. Learn to live faithfully in the tension between what is and what is not yet through her latest book Now and Not Yet.

The Good News Library is open weekdays 9am – 4:30pm.  Annual memberships are available for just a $5 donation and members may borrow 5 items at a time.  For more details visit wrgn.com.
