New Music Report from Dan Close
Now that we’re one month into the new year, the new music is coming through daily, and we’re SO excited to share it with you here on Your Good News Network.
for King & Country has a new album dropping next month called What Are We Waiting For? Well… they’re NOT waiting to release new music from it, that’s for sure. Last September they gave us the first single from it called “Relate,” which surged to #1 on Christian music charts earlier this year. In mid-January they released “For God Is With Us” and after hearing it, we can’t wait to hear the rest of their new album – due out March 11.
Since I started with for King & Country, let’s keep it in the family… literally. Joel & Luke Smallbone’s older sister Rebecca St. James just released a new song entitled “Kingdom Come.” Since she’s a good sibling, Rebecca allowed her brothers to join her on it. The end result is a cry out to God for revival and a prayer for his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
With a new year comes a couple of new artists to listen for, too! Our first new artist is Blessing Offor. The Nigerian-born singer/songwriter just released his debut song “Brighter Days.” Despite being blinded at a young age, Blessing found himself behind the piano at age 9, and as a teenager, began writing songs. The now 26-year-old is ready to be a “blessing” to the world. (See what I did there?)
Another new artist you’ll be hearing from in 2022 is DOE. DOE (Dominique Jones) is new to us, but not new to the music industry. She has been a part of her family’s band, Forever Jones, since 2010. “So Good” is the first song you’ll be hearing from DOE. It’s an up tempo tune that communicates how truly blessed we are by our good God!
Keep listening to WIVH for these new songs and new artists–plus other new music from Evan Craft, Brandon Heath, Ellie Holcomb, Pat Barrett, and MORE!
