New Music Report from Dan Close
The month of May brings us new music from some familiar names, and some newer Christian artists. Here are a few:
Ryan Stevenson is back at it with his new song “I Cry Jesus.” It should come as no surprise that it was inspired by ALL that has happened these past two years. Despite COVID, the political & social unrest, and the domino effect of added stress because of those things, this song is a reminder of the power we have in the name of Jesus.
While you might not have heard of TAYA, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve heard her sing before! She is worship leader Taya Smith of UNITED, and is the lead vocalist on their songs “Not Today,” “Another In The Fire,” and the multiple Dove Award winning “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).” “For All My Life” is the debut single from her forthcoming solo album, and we’re excited to share it with you!
Christian music veteran Chris Tomlin has just put out a new song entitled “Always.” This is the first music from Chris since his 2020 Chris Tomlin & Friends release. He pulled his inspiration from Hebrews 13:8 where we read that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Tasha Layton is picking up where she left off last year and bringing us more new music this year. Her latest single “How Far” (co-written by Matthew West) speaks to God’s grace, love, and His willingness to go to the cross and die for our sins. What an amazing reminder of how far He went while we were so far from Him.
As we wrap up spring and head into summer, keep listening for these new songs on The Good News Network and be refreshed and encouraged!
